Philips 34-Inch 349P7FUBEB and 27-Inch 272B7QUPBEB Monitors with USB-C

Oh, how nice would it be if Philips would release monitors with names that anyone can actually understand and remember? MMD, the leading technology company and brand license partner for Philips monitors, is announcing a new 34" UltraWide QHD curved display and a new 27" QHD monitor, both equipped with the practical USB-C docking solution.

The emerging importance of USB-C
Welcomed by early adopters at the time of its introduction as a true revolution in the making, USB-C is now rapidly becoming a standard requirement for business and power users alike. As a real enabling technology, it provides a whole lot more than its practical reversible connector or its support for higher data transfer speeds, also allowing users to charge, transfer audio and video signal with different protocols, and connect to the Internet with just one single cable. USB-C thus transforms displays into the critical hubs around which the modern digital workplace thrives.

A recharging station for mobile devices and notebooks; a docking station for peripherals and sundry accessories such as cameras or headphones; or a linking station for multiple displays: choosing a Philips monitor with the USB-C docking solution is a sure way to redesigning your everyday tasks, reclaiming desktop space and focussing on your work instead of losing time and patience whilst dealing with the quirks and the clutter of multiple, incompatible ports and cables.

Plenty of screen real estate for the ultimate 34" set-up
For this reason, MMD is constantly expanding its rich portfolio of high quality displays equipped with the USB-C docking solution meeting the needs of a diverse range of discerning users. A great addition to its flagship Philips Brilliance P Line, the new 349P7FUBEB is a 34" curved UltraWide display designed for no-compromise WQHD (3440 x 1440) applications. Producing vivid, more natural CrystalClear images featuring an extended UltraWide Color gamut with a 21:9 format high density, high contrast MVA panel, this advanced display provides a subtle immersion effect enveloping the user in the task at hand, helping to stay more focussed and productive.

And for more demanding applications requiring even more display space, the dedicated Philips MultiView technology enables an active dual connect feature allowing users to simultaneously view multiple devices such as PCs and notebooks side-by-side thanks to the available Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture modes. With its 100Hz refresh rate, the new Philips 349P7FUBEB also grabs the eye with its lag-free, ultra-smooth images, never missing a critical frame however advanced your video requirements may be.

Eco, ergo, enhanced
Business users working with general purpose office applications or bespoke professional software have long discovered the benefits of larger displays, especially those models that are equipped with hub capabilities which can be easily and quickly connected to notebook PCs to extend their limited screen space. With its USB-C docking feature, the new Philips 272B7QUPBEB provides an ideal solution to those seeking a 27" QHD monitor to power up their workplace and boost their productivity.

With just one USB-C cable, the new 272B7QUPBEB transfers data and high resolution video at USB 3.1 speeds while supplying up to 60 watts to power or recharge external devices. A built-in RJ-45 10/100/1000 Ethernet port allows to immediately plug into any standard IT environment and gives peace of mind to security conscious users, while DisplayPort out makes it easy to daisy chain two or more monitors together for thrilling configurations.

Producing crisp, CrystalClear Quad HD (2560 x 1440 or 2560 x 1080 pixel) images with the advanced technology of its IPS display, the new Philips 272B7QUPBEB offers a 90-degree Pivot mode to ergonomically work with vertically oriented visual content such as DTP applications, while helping to cut energy costs with its PowerSensor feature, a smart, harmless infrared sensor which automatically reduces monitor brightness when the user is away from the display.

Rounding up a great feature set
Adding to this, both the 349P7FUBEB and the 272B7QUPBEB monitors share a rich feature set including LowBlue Mode, a special setting that takes advantage of a dedicated software technology to reduce shortwave blue light emissions which can cause eye damage over time; SmartErgo Base, a height adjustable stand complete with swivel, tilt and pivot functions for the best customisation possible; and Ultra Narrow Border, a smart design feature that minimises distractions and maximises viewing size in multi-display or tiling setups giving the feeling of using a single, large display.

Targeted toward users who require high-performance monitors for precise, accurate and colour-critical work, the top range Brilliance Philips 349P7FUBEB will be available in July 2018 with an RRP of £749. For enterprise and environmentally-conscious users, Philips 272B7QUPBEB will also be available in July 2018 with an RRP of £399.
