Panasonic to recall 43 thousands of defective batteries for laptops

Panasonic is recalling about 43,140 notebook batteries. For security reasons, the Japanese manufacturer will offer customers free replacement batteries revoked. Were defective batteries for mobile computers from the series Let’s Note, issued during the period from April to July 2011.



 According to Panasonic, the marriage can cause overheating and potential fire battery. Is currently known about the three such incidents: two occurred in Japan and one – in Thailand. Fortunately, none of these cases, people are not affected.

Panasonic recently decided to double (to $ 275 million) capital expenditure on car batteries. In this Japanese vendor looks to be the sole supplier of the elements lithium-ion batteries for electric Tesla.
