NZXT C850 GOLD certified power supply is marketed with Zero RPM Fan mode
Yeah, that's going to need some explaining. This 80 PLUS GOLD certified power supply unit equipped with a Zero RPM Fan mode function that stops fan rotation when operating at less than about 30% of maximum output. The capacity is 850W, and the cable is a full modular specification.
Nothing new indeed, o up -to 255 Watt the PSU will remain passive, which a lot of PSUs do these days. The cooling fan is a 120mm silent fan that uses fluid dynamic bearings, and the semi-fanless function can be turned on/off with the button on the back. Rotation speed is 0-2,200+220rpm, air volume is 73.9CFM, noise level is 32.3dBA.
The connector is ATX 24pinx1, CPU connector 4+4pinx2, PCI-Express 6+2pinx6, SATAx8, 4pin peripheral x6. The output is 70A for +12V, 20A for +3.3V, 20A for +5V, 0.3A for -12V and 3A for +5VsB, and has an active PFC circuit (power factor 0.99). Body size is width 150mm, depth 150mm, height 86mm, MTBF is 100,000 hours, product warranty is 10 years. Pricing is TBA.

it has a handsome design, the color is also cool, like graphite black. sadly power supplies are that kind of component that you don't update as fast as your GPU or storage. i have the same corsair HX750 psu for years and i don't expect to update it soon.

This kind of psu is a good example why is not a bad idea to go overkill on wattage than what you need !

Indeed nothing new. Exactly what my 6 year old EVGA Supernova G2 850W does in ECO mode. It also has a 140 mm fan instead of NZXT's 120 mm and an extra PCI-E output.
