NVIDIA removes The Long Dark from GeForce Now

After the removal of Bethesda’s and Activision’s games, NVIDIA has also removed The Long Dark from its cloud gaming service, GeForce Now. According to the developers, NVIDIA apparently did not ask them for any permission to host it on its service

It's a bit of a weird movie to be honest, as to be able to play this title, you must actually own it. This a title you must own and then can stream with GeForce Now. In the end, though, developers need to be in control of their property, not the other way around.

I kinda don't understand what legal right do these developers have to force Nvidia to remove any game from Geforce Now. The games are not running on the Geforce Now directly, they are running on steam or their respective clients.

This feels like the devs are telling ME where and on what kind of computer I can play my games that I already bought.

Currently? None.

At all.

There is no legal precedent set at the present time so everything going on is within the realm of unlawfullness.

Nvidia is trying to stay on side with devs so their policy is to remove any game that is requested, but they could just stop obliging and put the matter to the courts, who will likely take all facts into account and rule against the publishers and studio's since the only reason they are against it is because they can't double dip on profits.
