There are indications that NVIDIA might be accelerating the release of its GeForce RTX 4060 (non-Ti) graphics card, originally slated for a July 2023 launch as announced by the company.
Leaked documents from MEGAsizeGPU suggest that the RTX 4060 could be made available on June 29. This means that reviews of the card could go live on June 28 for MSRP cards, and June 29 for premium variants priced above MSRP. Initially, it was expected to debut alongside the RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB variant in July.
The RTX 4060 distinguishes itself as a significantly different product compared to the RTX 4060 Ti, which was launched in May. It is based on the smaller AD107 silicon. The anticipated specifications of the RTX 4060 include 3,072 CUDA cores, 24 RT cores, 96 Tensor cores, 96 TMUs, and 32 ROPs. In contrast, the RTX 4060 Ti boasts 4,352 CUDA cores, 34 RT cores, 136 Tensor cores, 136 TMUs, and 48 ROPs. Both cards share a memory configuration of 8 GB GDDR6 across a 128-bit wide memory bus, although the memory speed of the RTX 4060 is slightly lower at 17 Gbps compared to the 18 Gbps of the Ti variant. Notably, the RTX 4060 features a lower TGP (Total Graphics Power) of just 115 W. The exact pricing for the RTX 4060 is yet to be finalized by NVIDIA.
