Norwegians got a proper Viking discount for Assassins Creed Valhalla
And hey, good for them. But it might have been a mistake from Ubisoft. Norwegians could get the game for 100 crowns ( ~$10 ); well, perhaps the company wanted to offer Norway a Viking discount, who knows.
The funny thing is that this price is even more profitable than a subscription to Uplay Plus, which costs $ 15. Plus, it seems like everyone who bought the game at this price will keep it forever. As far as is known, none of the purchases were refunded or declined by Ubisoft. The most logical explanation occurs if we look at the regions of the store that use the Euro, where the Deluxe Edition received a discount of €10, going from € 119 to € 109. Either that price was incorrectly copied, or more likely, a comma in the wrong place caused many players to be able to purchase the game for almost free.
That's a good deal though!
Norwegian retailer ships AMD six-core processors - 04/23/2010 09:47 AM
Well, rest assured someone made a black-list at AMD, damn that's bold. A Norwegian retailer started shipping Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition processors to customers. And that's a big no-no as the pro...
Norwegian File-Sharers to Face Tougher Prosecution - 04/20/2009 06:35 AM
Up until now, Norwegian file-sharers were pretty safe from prosecution, since Norway's privacy rules prevented copyright holders

Wow! This is actually kinda a cool thing... interesting PR strategy, surely a smart way to bring more eyes to the game but yeah... cool nonetheless

I wonder if they gave the Greeks a discount on Odyssey.

As a Croatian-Norwegian I find this funny. Our tech papers said some of customers got a huge discount of this game. I use Ubisoft+ so it doesn't really matter to me.
Yes, it was a mistake from Ubisoft and lasted for only 30 minutes before they fixed it quickly

Another fun fact: the city mention in the game "Stavanger" is where I live now :p but it's alot of made up bullshit from ubisoft in the game which is not true in reality. I guess they used the location as inspiration.
But whats even more funny is that Eivors mother looks like Aloy from HZD and he did look like Arteus from GOW4 as a kid :p This game has many funny things about our city/place here in norway, some alot is made up though.

Got a bit (actually quite more than a "bit") of viking beard going, surely that's worth some discount. If Ubisoft reads this, I'll send pix for codes kkthx. :p

Ubisoft was wise. At least this way they still got something. If the price had been any higher, the Norsemen would have just boarded the longships and raided the Ubisoft store.
