New AMD Vega Photos and New Logo

New AMD Vega Photos and New Logo

Over at the AMD event they had several systems setup with an AMD Vega as well, not just that. There is a new logo is shared as well.

AMD has been showing Vega graphics card in all its glory. The sample on display was the same card that was used at CES 2017 and comes with 8+6-pin power connectors. No details are released to date, but AMD confirmed that they are planning to launch Vega in second quarter. A couple of photos are courtesy of pcgameshardware, the photos I took had all kinds of reflections on a rather shiny chassis side panel. In the next few hours I'll drop by the demo room and take some new photos.

Update: unfortunately the demo room did not have the Vega card on display anymore so I cannot add more photos.

Check the thumbnails below.

I like how the first picture has NVidia logo in the glass reflection, overlooking Radeon. Am I going too poetic over here?

I noticed it as well, but it took me a while to admit it really is what it looked like. At the very least they didn't anymore need to bring a PC with Intel's CPU as their own is finally up to the task. They did want to show they are serious and used Noctua's CPU cooler, however, not any pitiful stock one.

So I figured that out, it is the reflection of a backpack from somebody who had an Nvidia logo on that backpack. Think nothing of it, the system is using tempered glass and reflecting everything.

Not that it might actually mean anything, but I wonder if they use the debug boards to hide actual form factor and power connectivity.
