MSI announced its offerings for the GeForce RTX 4060 graphics cards, aimed at delivering enhanced performance and features. Priced at $299, these new graphics cards, based on the advanced Ada Lovelace architecture, are scheduled to hit the market on June 29.

The GeForce RTX 4060 Gaming 8G and GeForce RTX 4060 Ventus 2X Black 8G, along with their overclocked variants, showcase an elegant all-black design with matching backplates. Both models maintain a standard two-slot form factor, ensuring a sleek and unobtrusive design, with the former being slightly larger in size. The GeForce RTX 4060 Gaming 8G measures 9.7 x 5.1 x 1.6 inches (247 x 130 x 41 mm), while the GeForce RTX 4060 Ventus 2X Black 8G has dimensions of 7.8 x 4.7 x 1.6 inches (199 x 120 x 41 mm). Thus, if space is limited in your case, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ventus 2X Black 8G would be a more fitting choice.

MSI's Twin Frozr 9 cooling solution is employed in the GeForce RTX 4060 Gaming 8G, featuring a nickel-plated copper base plate for optimal heat dissipation. Accompanied by two Torx 5.0 cooling fans, these fans are meticulously designed with a slight 22-degree tilt, resulting in a notable 23% increase in airflow when compared to standard axial fans, as reported by MSI. On the other hand, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ventus 2X Black 8G incorporates two Torx 4.0 fans, providing a balanced and effective cooling solution.

Both the standard versions of these graphics cards boast identical boost clock speeds. The GeForce RTX 4060 Ventus 2X Black 8G and the GeForce RTX 4060 Gaming 8G share a boost clock speed of 2,475 MHz, which is 15 MHz higher than the reference GeForce RTX 4060. In terms of the overclocked models, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ventus 2X Black 8G OC is clocked at 2,505 MHz, while the GeForce RTX 4060 Gaming X 8G operates at 2,610 MHz.

Irrespective of the specific SKU, users can enjoy three DisplayPort 1.4a outputs and one HDMI 2.1a port, enabling simultaneous connectivity with up to four monitors. With a modest 115W TDP, the power requirements of the GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card are minimal. A single 8-pin PCIe power connector suffices for both the GeForce RTX 4060 Ventus 2X Black 8G and the GeForce RTX 4060 Gaming 8G. A power supply with a capacity of 550W is recommended, ensuring easy and cost-effective power delivery for the GeForce RTX 4060. The GeForce RTX 4060 will be available for purchase on June 29 at 6 am Pacific Time. The official MSRP for this latest graphics card powered by Ada Lovelace is likely $299.
