MSI Unveils Core i9 Ultra-Thin WS65 Mobile Workstation, PS42 Notebook and Optix Gaming Monitors

MSI launches its new WS65 mobile workstation. The WS65 shows MSI's continued investment in its workstation lines with a commitment to users searching for sophisticated products that blend performance and portability. Additionally, the PS42 professional laptop and Optix MAG241C and MAG271C gaming monitors are now available.

WS65 An Evolved Ultra-Thin Mobile Workstation for Creatives and Professionals

MSIs new WS65 mobile workstation features a similar chassis to the GS65 Stealth Thin, with attractive styling and 15.6-inch, ultra-thin bezel display. With up to Intel’s 8th Generation Core i9 processor and up to NVIDIA Quadro P4200 graphics, the WS65 is up to 40 percent faster than the previous generation. While it was designed for portability, the WS65 also features an 82Whr battery for up to eight hours of battery life.

With an Intel Core i9 processor and up to NVIDIA Quadro P4200 graphics, the WS65 is a breakthrough for slim, portable workstations,” said Clifford Chun, System Product Management Director at MSI. “It’s a beautiful laptop that will easily fit into any business scenario but is more than powerful enough for even the most demanding workloads.”

The display of the WS65 is a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display with 72 percent coverage of the NTSC color gamut. For storage, the workstation offers one PCI-e SSD / SATA combo and one PCI-e SSD. Ports include three USB 3.1 Type-A, one USB 3.1 Type-C, one HDMI 2.0, one mDP 1.4, one mic-in and a headphone out. The WS65 will be available this September.

With the debut of the WS65, MSI also unveiled its new workstation logo. This new minimalistic copper logo gives the line a renewed sense of elegance better suited for the business environment. The new logo will has become much more low profile, showing MSI’s ambition to the commercial market. MSI is dedicated to helping the modern professional to achieve outstanding performance and results in a dynamic environment.

PS42  High Performance in a Beautiful and Portable Chassis

First unveiled to high praise at Computex 2018, the PS42 is the newest member of the MSI Prestige series. The notebook measures just 0.63 inches thick and weighs 2.6lbs. Today, MSI is proud to announce the PS42 is now available.

The PS42 is powered by an Intel 8th Generation Core i7 processor and a NVIDIA MX150 GPU. The notebook also boasts a nearly bezel-free screen, impressive 10 hours of battery life and a Windows Hello Certified fingerprint sensor. The PS42 is the epitome of high performance in a simplistic and beautiful design and is now available at major e-tailers, starting at $899.

MSI Optix MAG241C and MAG271C Curved Gaming Monitors Now Available

The Optix MAG271C and MAG241C features a 144Hz curved VA LED display and super-fast 1ms response time for a flawless and smooth gaming experience. The series also uses MSI’s Gaming On-Screen Display software that allows gamers to control the monitor’s settings including contrast ratio and brightness right from their Windows desktop. The software also supports hotkey options, so users can switch profiles while in-game or use the MSI remote display app on their Android phone. The MAG271C and MAG241C are now available at Amazon for $299.99 and $229.99 respectively.

Considering the price, wattage, and size of this, I'm guessing the i9 they're using is the mobile variant.

Just bought the MSi PS42 temporarily for me and later on for my gf. Can't believe the price compared to other brands, all with 16GB of RAM, a nice MX150, 512 of SSD, 14" thin laptop. To get MX150 + 16 + 512 on a thin "not too big, not too small" high-quality laptop on other brands you have to go towards double the price I payed for this one. It'll arrive next week (supposedly). Hope it doesn't disappoint.
