MSI Cyclone N460GTX series with 4 models

by Panagiotis Georgiadis on: 07/12/2010 12:53 PM | source: | 0 comment(s)

Rumors are once again confirmed for MSI and theirs four implantations of the new NVIDIA GTX 460. Four different versions are ready to launch any moment now, all of them equipped with the well-known for its cooling efficiency at previous MSI models -- HD4890 and HD5670 -- the famous Cyclone cooler. This time comes for NVIDIA and offers you lower-than-stock temperatures and also low-noise levels. Powered by the 40nm GF104 chip, the N460GTX series support every exposed specification about GTX460.

The NVIDIA GTX460 might not be an ultra-high-end card, but it still offers decent enough performance for most users. The new cards from MSI, come with 336 Cuda processors, 675 MHz core clock, 3000MHz memory clock, and 192/256-bit memory interface combined with GGDR5 VRAM technology. Overclocked versions are more than welcome here, so MSI boasts their N460GTX up to 725MHz core clock and 1450 MHz shaders, but memory frequency sadly seems to remain the same as the default speed.

Military Class components are on the spotlight, such as Hi-C Cap providing more precise GPU voltage with MSI Afterburner utility. Also, SSC (Solid Sate Chock) has no buzz noise and offers you higher current for better overclocking ability. After all, there are only solid capacitors for longer lifespan.
