MS Flight Simulator 2020 update brings more realism to France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg

World Update IV is as implied the fourth update for Microsoft Flight Simulator, and is now live. The update brings changes in different scenarios focused on Western Europe. Some countries such as France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourgnumerous graphical improvements in the mapping of their cities, airports, and tourist spots.



The landscapes of Paris and Amsterdam were updated with high-resolution 3D photogrammetry. Now it is possible to fly near the Eiffel Tower and enjoy all the details of the French city. Locations like Megève, Nice, and Rotterdam Airport also received graphical enhancements, though not as detailed as other more popular locations. More than 100 tourist spots in the region received a higher level of detail to give the best possible fidelity and realism to the game. Castles, cathedrals, monuments, museums, palaces, bridges, lighthouses, dams, mills, and stadiums were some of the places that the developers paid special attention to in the update.

A study revealed that this World Update IV includes a new procedural generation algorithm, which adds more authenticity to locations, creating architectural elements with a high level of fidelity.
