Minisforum Launches 12th Gen Intel Mini PC with Dual Thunderbolt 4 Design

Minisforum Introduces the Latest Mini PC with Dual Thunderbolt 4 Ports Taiwan-based tech company, Minisforum, has unveiled its latest mini PC, the NUCG5, equipped with dual Thunderbolt 4 ports.



The NUCG5 is powered by the powerful Intel Core i5-1240P processor, making it a highly capable and affordable option for edge, business, or home use. The Intel Core i5-1240P is a mid-range SoC with 12 cores and 16 threads, featuring 12 MB of L3 cache and a clock speed of 1700 MHz, which can boost up to 4.4 GHz, depending on the workload. The mini PC also boasts 80 EU Intel Iris Xe Graphics with a maximum speed of 1.30 GHz. Measuring only 109.5 mm in length, 110.5 mm in width, and 61.6 mm in height, the NUCG5 is significantly smaller than the Minisforum UM series lineup, including the Minisforum UM560. The dual Thunderbolt 4 ports make it a unique offering in the mini PC market. In addition to the dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, the NUCG5 also features an RJ45 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port, two front USB3.2 Type-A ports, one rear USB3.2 Type-A port, one rear USB2.0 Type-A port, one 3.5 mm Combo Jack, and two HDMI 2.0 ports.

Customers can now order the NUCG5 from Minisforum's website, with two base configurations available, including 16 GB RAM + 512 GB SSD and 32 GB RAM + 512 GB SSD. Shipments will commence in March.
