At a MS Surface event, the Surface Go 3 was unveiled, which is aimed squarely at the lower-priced end of the prospective Surface user market. Early benchmark results lend some credence to the manufacturer's contention that performance is a function of context.



The display measures 10.5" and has a resolution of 1920x1280 pixels with a 3:2 aspect ratio. You can choose between an Intel Pentium Gold 6500Y or a Core i3. 10100Y CPU. Both run at base clock frequencies of 1.1 and 3.6 gigahertz and turbo speeds of 3.4 and 4.3 gigahertz. They come with 4 and 8 gigabytes of RAM, and both have a 1.1 gigahertz turbo speed.

Although the Surface Pen is not included, there is support for it in the software. Windows Hello facial recognition, on the other hand, is available. There will be a version with LTE connectivity, however it is not known when this will be available. Windows 11 Home is the version that is available to consumers. Customers in the business sector can also choose from the Pro editions of Windows 10 and 11. During the presentation, Microsoft stated that the laptop's battery could last for an entire day on a single charge, although no specific capacity was provided. Pre-orders for the Surface Go 3 are now being accepted for first deliveries on October 5, with prices starting at 440 euros.
