Microsoft has recently begun automatically updating Windows 10 users running the 21H2 version, transitioning them to the newer 22H2 version without the need for manual intervention.

Support for Windows 10 21H2 will come to an end on June 13, after which no more security updates will be provided for this version. To maintain user security, Microsoft has opted to execute the update automatically for all individuals still using this version. The exact timeline for the update rollout has not been revealed. Additionally, Microsoft strongly encourages Windows 10 users to consider upgrading to Windows 11, if possible. Launched in November of the previous year, Windows 10 version 22H2 is the final iteration of the operating system. This version brings minor improvements, such as the ability to choose which notifications to display using Focus Assist. Support for Windows 10 version 22H2 will be maintained until October 14, 2025.
