LG 27UD68 is a 4K UHD monitor with FreeSync
I think, all new monitors will get FreeSync lol ? The 27-inch AH-IPS 60hz LED-backlight monitor provides 3840 x 2160 4K native resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio (DCR 5,000,000:1), 300 cd/m2 brightness, 5ms (GTG) response time and 178/178 degree viewing angles.
10-bit colour is supported, likely via 8-bit plus 2-bit FRC dithering. A 5ms grey to grey response time is specified whilst a flicker-free WLED backlight is employed, offering 99% sRGB coverage (and likely some extension beyond sRGB in some areas).
Apart from that, the 27UD68-W also utilizes the AMD FreeSync technology to eliminate tearing, stuttering and input lag, and provides 2x HDMI and 1x DisplayPort input ports. he ports of the monitor include; DC input (external power brick), DP 1.2a+ (with Adaptive-Sync), 2 HDMI 2.0 ports and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Both DP 1.2 and HDMI 2.0 support the native 3840 x 2160 @ 60Hz, but FreeSync requires the use of the DisplayPort input and of course compatible GPU. Another model with the addition of USB Type-C ports but seemingly no FreeSync support is also in the works (the 27UD88).
Other notable features include Black Stabilizer – to increase the visibility of the dark scene, SUPER+ Resolution (super-resolution technology), Flicker-Safe function and Blue Light reduction function.

Intel has already stated it is going with Freesync.
I've seen the online videos purporting to "show the difference" between standard refresh and Gsync, and the only thing that stood out for me was the fact that my non-Freesync/non-Gsync monitor looks far better than the "non-Gsync" representation in the videos (which is deliberately made to look awful)...

This is a "feature" that if it comes with something I buy--fine, but I won't be looking for it and I surely won't pay extra for it.

Intel are believed to be going with adaptive-sync but will it be exactly FreeSync?

PC-Per did a good job, but the video has become outdated. AMD made some major improvements to Freesync with their 15.11 Crimson driver, which pretty much brings it up to the same level as g-sync. It can even do some things that g-sync can't. Still, you need to be aware when buying a Freesync monitor though, because there are crappy ones and there are good ones. The upper frequency must be at least 2.5 times higher than the lower limit, otherwise you miss out on the low framerate compensation, which is able to show the same frame several times to avoid unnecessary stuttering or tearing when the framerate falls under the frequency range.
And please check your facts before spreading your confusion on others.

Yeaaah, I don't know about that. As a person who's owned about 8 different monitors in the last 5 years. G-Sync/Freesync are the best thing that have happened to gaming in years.
I originally was like you, I thought I didn't need it. I bought a PG278Q and aside from the fact that the monitor was garbage, G-Sync was easily and by far the best edition over my previous monitor. I will never not own a monitor without G-Sync or Freesync.

I certainly hope all new monitors get it. Would be an incentive for others than AMD to support it. But I guess nvidia will want to keep peddling their premium solution.
