Silent Hills, a horror game for consoles and later planned release on PC has been cancelled. All very weird as during the Sony conference at Gamescom, a demo for a mysterious game called 'PT' went live on the PlayStation Network already, now almost a year later the game is canned.

Silent Hill was being developed by Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear series, in collaboration with Hellboy and Pan's Labyrinth director Guillermo del Toro. The teaser already has been removed from the PlayStation store, Pan's Labyrinth director Guillermo del Toro stated he was deeply disappointed about cancellation of the horror-game. The cancellation has been confirmed by Norman Reedus as well (actor in the Walking Dead).

While Konami still needs to release an official statement it remains a little unclear as to why how and what. Within Konami there supposedly is a lot going on, including a conflict in-between Hideo Kojima (Metal Gear Solid developer) who would co-develop the game and the top level staff from Konami.
