Intel has been actively developing various GPU architecture models since 2018. And this one we see now is another Xe microarchitecture called Xe-HPG, suitable for gaming.

Intel's roadmap spans from the mid-market to the enthusiast segment and was built on the three Xe pillars: Xe-LP (Graphics Efficiency), Xe-HP (Scalability) and Xe-HPC (Computer Efficiency).  Intel hasn't confirmed the GPU specs, but it appears to be using the GDDR6 memory subsystem to improve the performance-for-dollar ratio. On the other hand, the Xe-HP series will feature HBM memory, reports videocardz.

RayTracing

NVIDIA introduced hardware RayTracing 2 years ago with the GeForce RTX 20 series. AMD is expected to launch its RDNA2-based graphics cards leveraging hardware RayTracing later this year. Intel has also confirmed that its Xe-HPG series will support hardware-accelerated RayTracing. Xe-HPG GPUs are currently being evaluated in Intel labs. The plan is to have it ready by 2021.The graphics device was revealed to be codenamed 'XeHP HD Graphics Neo', we also know it as Arctic Sound. One tile would be using tiles, name them chiplets if you want, holding the number of cores for each of these graphics processor variants. The 1-tile variant will get 512 EUs, the 2-tile variant will get 1024 EU and the model with the highest specs with 4 tiles will get 2048 EUs.
