Intel releases a Coffee Lake Refresh Processor Family for Workstations and Entry-level Servers. You'll spot a total of twelve processors with the E-2288G being the top model. That one has eight cores and sixteen threads. The chips support up to 128 GB ECC memory and require a motherboard with a C242 or C246 chipset.

The top model Xeon E-2288G can be compared directly with a Core i9-9900K: the base clock is 3.7 GHz, a single processor core can turbo towards 5.0 GHz while with a load on all eight cores that is 4.7 GHz. With Hyper-Threading, the processor can process 16 threads simultaneously. The Xeon E-2224 at the bottom of the performance scale has four non-hyperthreaded cores, an L3 cache halved to 8MB, and operates at 3.4 to 4.6GHz. The TDP amounts to 71 watts.
