The only laptop model with Arc Alchemist graphics that appears to be available is the company's Samsung Book 2 Pro, which is now in stock on Samsung's website but solely in Korea.

The only model featuring Intel's Arc Alchemist combines it with a Core i7-1260P Alder Lake CPU and the entry-level Arc A350M GPU, which together power a modest 1080p AMOLED screen. Its physical specifications are completed with a 1 TB SSD and 32 GB of DDR5 RAM. The Arc A350M from Intel is equipped with six Xe cores, six ray tracing units, with a core frequency of 1150 MHz. The memory bus is only 64 bits wide, with a maximum memory capacity of 4GB provided by the chip's GDDR6 subsystem.

A YouTube review has already put the new Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro with Intel's Arc A350M discrete GPU through its paces. Intel's entry-level choice is roughly in line with its predicted performance profile in terms of performance. Samsung appears to have chosen to setup this solution at a 30 W TDP (out of a possible 25-35 W range). In such arrangement, Intel's A350M performed 14 percent slower than an Nvidia GTX 1650 in 3D Mark Time Spy and 22 percent slower on Fire Strike. The chip outperforms Nvidia's entry-level MX450, albeit it appears that the performance difference (17 percent in favor of Intel's A350M) is due to its 17 percent higher TDP. The A350M also received a 200-point 3D Mark Port Royal score.

That doesn't appear to be a very impressive performance from a 6 nm GPU, but keep in mind that Intel is most likely still working over the clock to optimize its graphics drivers in time for Arc Alchemist's discrete desktop debut, which is presently scheduled for sometime in Q2 (April 1st through June 31st). Let's hope that the introduction is more accessible than Intel's considerably smaller, mobile-oriented Arc A350M and A370M.
