Intel 600 Series Chipsets for Alder Lake-S Listed an HEDT X699 also listed

Dell shared the spread of Alder Lake chipsets via a driver. It also mentions an X699, which has fueled suspicions of a comeback to the high-end category (HEDT).

The AlderLake-PCH-S file contains the entire future chipset portfolio. Because mobile chipsets are not specified, PCH-S stands for desktop solutions. Regardless, the list is long. The Z690 leads the end-user business, followed by the H670, B660, and H610 in the entry-level category.

The best chipsets are usually the Q and W series. They are in the Q670, W680, and W685. The embedded sector includes the E680E, Q670E, and H610E. The X699 entry is arguably the most intriguing. Thus, the next and suspected high-end CPU will use the same chip as the potentially best-equipped standard PC mainboard. The X299, for example, was simply a rebranded Z170/270 chipset with the identical feature set, which Intel eventually reduced according to market segment or released totally.

I hope that intel wont screw us and announce the HEDT CPU with the release of the mainstream.
I dont want to sell my 5950x just to get 12900K and then in 2 months sell it again to get x699 + whatever alder lake HEDT CPU comes out
