Intel breaks beyond the 5 GHz barrier for laptops with the launch of the 10th Gen Intel Core H-series mobile processors. Headlined by the 10th Gen Intel Core i9-10980HK processor, the H-series delivers desktop-caliber performance that gamers and creators can take anywhere.
Intel Comet Lake-H series consists of six new Core i5, i7 and i9 processors, all with a tdp of 45 watts. Comet Lake-H is still produced on Intel's 14nm process, and the processor architecture and maximum number of cores, eight, have not been further increased from the ninth Core generation. The top model is the Intel Core i9 10980HK, an octa-core processor with a maximum single-core turbo of 5.3 GHz and an all-core turbo of 4.4 GHz. In the latter case, the CPU runs 200 MHz faster than its direct predecessor, the 9980HK.
