Huawei 24-core 7nm Kunpeng CPU outperforms Intel Core i9-9900K

Huawei 24-core 7nm Kunpeng CPU outperforms Intel Core i9-9900K

Huawei is trying to place itself into the market after being severely affected by technology bans, that also means it will become challenging to ship the Kunpeng 920 CPUs outside the USA given the current situation. And that might make news though.

Huawei's Kunpeng 920 3211K will be offering 24 cores at 7nm, with a maximum clock speed of 2.6GHz based on ARM's Neoverse N1 microarchitecture. It will also be accompanied by a 512GB Samsung SSD and an AMD Radeon RX 520 GPU. As reported, this specific configuration than to the Intel Core i9-9900K processor eight core performance of multi-core, while the yield of single-core is not reported as it is likely to be far behind the high speeds of the Core i9-9900K or any modern age processor.

Therefore, the fact that the KunPeng 920 in this particular configuration can match the Intel processor in multi-threaded performance with 1.5 times more threads and three times more cores is not that weird. Huawei is expected to promote these computers for use in government agencies and corporate settings, which means that it will come with China's Unified Operating System (UOS). Specific details such as pricing and the exact release date were not revealed.

Chinese officials will keep careful track of your Pac-Man strategies via the backdoors. In the next Pac-Man World Championship games they will beat you with your own techniques!

Both make me laught :)
More seriously, i have lived on "the other side" (those who were all spies from stasi and kgb on your TV lol) during a part of my life... The reality were just that they were only the same as us...
Why chinese wouldnt be the same? from what i know (to have work sometime with them) they are.
It's just an economic war because USA were thinking that chinese were dumb (as most of the world for them) since so long that when chinese company gain parts on internal market they cannot fair fight.
You care about backdoor, then if you are from EU you might care about what your retirement and health data are doing in USA (the server should be in EU but it was too expensive... sure).

Any new technology outperforms x86 based processors. But there's a reason why x86 Jaguar was preferred over the Cell processor for PlayStation 4, x86 instructions are the most familiar for coders.
Good luck trying to use it as a normal desktop.
