Looking forward to this one. Halo 2 will always be one of my favorite console games and I'm glad this finally made it's way to PC outside of the old GFWL release that was also pretty excellent back in the day. I see some co-op campaign in my future. Can't wait to drive that tank much further than the developers intended. Road blocks can't stop me!

Same, the pc release was a disaster, some sort of render sync to physics and you'd get a stutter every other frame.

Halo 2 Vista for me was hitting the Activation limit, spending weeks trying to get a replacement key from Microsoft support which ended in them asking for proof I owned the game "even though they could see I had the game on my GFWL account and many hours playing it" they wanted proof of ownership via a photograph of the product key in the box which I happily did and also lined up a bunch of Halo figurines next to it for a bit of fun, few years alter this I upgraded to Windows 8 and once again hit the Activation limit with the replacement key, this time I was like ughh I'm giving up, then GFWL was killed.

GFWL itself was horrible, I have no find memories of it, it was a hoop I had to jump through to play Halo 2 Vista.

Sorry... your comment kind of annoyed me a bit.

I wasn't advocating for the GFWL part of the equation. No one liked GFWL. Simply added it so people knew which version I was talking about. I don't think too many people actually knew about that version or bought it. The game itself though was very good in my opinion.
