Gigabyte has introduced the new Z170X-Gaming 6. The gamers oriented mainboard has 11-phases for the CPU and comes with an updated design. Black and dark red with metal shielding protected PCI slots.



The colleagues at TPU noticed this rather silent release as Gigabyte themselves did not send in the press release. The LGA 1151 socket that allows support of Intel’s Skylake processors is powered by a 8-Pin connector while the board draws power from an ATX connector.

It supports DDR4 memory and has six SATA 6 GB/s and 3 SATA Express ports and USB 3.0 and two USB 3.1 internal headers on the motherboard. They are  three PCI-e 3.0 x16, two PCI-e 3.0 x1 slots and two M.2 slots that operate at speeds of PCI-e 3.0 x4. A Mini PCIe slot can also be seen that can support SSDs or WiFi cards. You get two gigabit ethernet controller, one intel and one E2201 KillerNIC.
