The Xenon 800 is a new gaming mouse from Genesis that offers an ultralight construction, weight system, high fidelity sensor, and Japanese Omron switches – all of this is available for a fair price.
An ultralight construction, weight system, high fidelity sensor, and Japanese Omron switches – all of this is available for a shockingly low price.
Genesis Xenon 800 will surely disrupt the gaming equipment landscape. The device’s perforated, matt case weighs only 58 g. This makes it one of the lightest gaming mice available. If, however, for whatever reason the device’s feel is not to your liking, you can swap it for a traditional panel included in the set. So you always have a choice.
If the Genesis Xenon 800 is too light or you prefer another weight, the designers got you covered. The set includes a system of 12 weights, which allow the users to add around 20 g to the weight as well as properly distribute the mass. Inside the Xenon 800 you will find Japanese Omron switches with durability of 20 million clicks.
The device tracks the player’s movement with the use of the PixArt PMW3389 with 16000 DPI. The latter feature can be changed to seven configuration levels with a press of a button. The Lift-off Distance can also be configured as the manufacturer provides the users with three predefined settings. The mouse is equipped with eight programmable buttons which can be configured with non-standard functions or macros with the use of included software.
Preferences can be saved in profiles in the built-in memory, which will surely be used by users who tend to swap their machines often. The designers also remembered about customization options. The Genesis Xenon 800 device includes configurable RGB illumination with PRISMO effect. The whole set is completed with teflon sliders which provide the users with fluidity of movement as well as a textile braided cable. Genesis Xenon 800 will be available for around €50.

Nice to see that at least someone bothers to use proper Japanese Omron switches instead of the Chinese 50 mill click ones that only last a few thousand before starting to miss out on clicks or do doubleclicks like it is the case for some of Corsairs recent mice and probably some others too.
