Nvidia is implementing new strategies in viral marketing by collaborating with YouTube channels and influencers to release carefully curated benchmarks for the Geforce RTX 4060 ahead of the official embargo lift.

The 'reviews' primarily center around performance advancements achieved through DLSS 3 and frame generation, with a specific set of predetermined games eligible for testing. This means that NVIDIA has determined what can and cannot be published, as well as what games can and cannot be used. In that respect, the influencers have been influenced.

YouTube channels such as JayzTwoCents, Daniel Owen and Chaowanke published initial benchmarks as they got 'cherry-picked' by NVIDIA'. As the content shows, these YouTubers and influencers are only permitted to discuss preselected games by Nvidia and are obligated to emphasize the performance improvements achieved through DLSS 3 and the interframe generator Frame Generation.

The manufacturer's intention behind this timing is to guarantee a strong initial impression prior to the card's official launch. By engaging third-party entities to promote their new product, Nvidia effectively positions popular YouTubers who now have become their advertising partners.

Nvidia plays the media against each other: Those who are allowed to report earlier can be sure of greater attention and ad views. Nvidia can place effective advertising via supposedly trustworthy influencers and on the other hand, controls the narrative for the independent tests.

Our reviews will be published by June 28th, as mandated by NVIDIA.
