Some new information surfaced regarding the pending RTX 2060 release. It's now assumed that the graphics card will hold a cut-down RTX 2070 GPU, but not just that. The RTX 2060 could be released in six different models based on several memory configurations.

In short, there could potentially be a 3, 4 and 6 GB version. Then for each memory amount, there will be offers in memory type: GDDR5 and GDDR6. Videocardz stumbled into the information after referring towards a GIGABYTE leak. So that means there could be six variant/models of the GeForce RTX 2060.

Add to that some OC (factory overclocked models and for example some Gigabyte / Aorus SKUs), there could SKU numbers could easily be quadrupled from Gigabyte alone. It will be interesting to see how the memory busses and ROPs will be configured, also let's not forget that the TU106 that would empower the RTX 2060 would internally get a GU106 and GU106A option also.

GV-N2060AORUS X-4GC 4GB GDDR6
GV-N2060AORUS X-4GD 4GB GDDR5(X)
GV-N2060AORUS X-3GC 3GB GDDR6
GV-N2060AORUS X-3GD 3GB GDDR5(X)

To be honest I do not think NVIDIA would release 3 and 4 GB models initially but will keep that open as an option in a later stage to create some different SKUs in different markets.

The GeForce RTX 2060 is expected to debut in January 2019.
