After a lot of discussion E3 now is completely canceled. The E3 2020 should have taken place virtually through livestreams instead of live in Los Angeles. Now the fair is completely canceled.

So the originally planned "online experience" no longer takes place either. Organizer Electronic Software Association (ESA) had initially announced the end of the physical fair in Los Angeles in the course of the corona crisis but wanted to look for ways to create a virtual replacement. Alternatively, ESA wants to "work with exhibitors to enable individual showcases and presentations ". A representative from ESA said:

"Given the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we won't be hosting an online event at E3 2020 in June. [...] We look forward to bringing our industry and community together in 2021 to bring a redesigned E3 to present that highlights new offers and inspires our audience. "

Recently, a major publisher, Bethesda, announced that it would not be able to participate in the fair's online offering. Fans who had been looking forward to news about Elder Scrolls 6 or Starfield should learn more at least in the "coming months". As the website Gamesindustry.biz reports, the organizers of ESA refer partners to the year 2021. According to this, the fair will then take place from June 15 to 17, 2021.

One will have to wait for a public confirmation of the ESA regarding fixed dates, also because of the current uncertainties due to the global pandemic.
