AMD releases updated chipset driver for Windows 10 and 11 for Ryzen 7000X3D and Ryzen 7045HX processors

AMD has released an updated version of its chipset driver for Windows 10 and 11, version 5.02.19.2221. The updated driver is especially designed for the new desktop processors of the 7000 series with 3D V-Cache. It also supports the Ryzen 7045HX (“Dragon Range”) notebook processors. The updated driver includes bug fixes and improvements in the PCI device driver and the S0i3 filter driver. Some mainboard manufacturers, such as ASRock and MSI, have released drivers with slightly lower version numbers in the past few days.

AMD has also provided a list of changes included in the new driver. The list compares the previous driver version, 4.11.15.342, and the updated version. AMD has identified a copy & paste error in the release notes, where the Ryzen 7045HX processors were incorrectly referred to as desktop processors. The updated chipset driver is recommended for users of the new processors and for all users who want to benefit from the improvements and bug fixes included in the new driver.
