Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Now Bundled with Select AMD CPUs
AMD now bundles Deus Ex: Mankind Divided with certain processors and APUs. For a limited time, every purchase of an AMD FX 6- or 8-core CPU, from participating partners, will receive a game code for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
August 23rd marks the launch of Eidos’ latest installment of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. AMD is bringing the heavy weaponry when you assume the role of Adam Jensen. For a limited time, every purchase of an AMD FX 6- or 8-core CPU, from participating partners, will receive a game code for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided™, the sequel to the critically acclaimed Deus Ex: Human Revolution®, builds on the franchise’s trademark choice and consequence, plus action-RPG based gameplay, to create both a memorable and highly immersive experience. Players will once again take on the role of Adam Jensen, now an experienced covert agent, and will gain access to his new arsenal of customizable state-of-the-art weapons and augmentations. With time working against him, Adam must choose the right approach, along with who to trust, in order to unravel a vast worldwide conspiracy.
DirectX 12, the latest version of the Microsoft API, takes your game to 2029 by tapping into all the cores of your multicore CPU simultaneously. The multi-threaded command buffer boosts the amount of work that can be sent to the graphics card and gets it done in less time. DirectX 12 explicitly takes advantage of the processing power available in 6- and 8- core processors yielding blazingly fast performance, higher frames per second, and reduced latency.

Hmm, I've been a little interested in getting that game, and one of those CPUs. Makes the decision a little bit easier I guess haha. But obviously I need to see benchmarks before I decide to buy the CPU.
EDIT:
Apparently there could be a Linux release too, which is great for me.

Half realize this is designed to help clear out the channel from these cpus, but cannot help but think somehow this is tied to a release delay for Zen. Been waiting for Zen before completing the new rig.
EDIT: How can AMD mention dx12 when this is a thread of discussion: " No DX12 Support for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided at Launch" They are going to mention the benefits of dx12 when the game is not going to have support for it at launch. Their marketing department looks to still being run by chimps.

It's out less than two weeks after launch. It's not exactly a disaster. This is going to be a DX12 game after all.

DirectX 12, the latest version of the Microsoft API, takes your game to 2029 by tapping into all the cores of your multicore CPU simultaneously.
PC low-priority development and rushed porting if it's going to take until then before we see some actual progress with core usage above quad.
(What was the support period for the XBO anyways? 2025 or some such originally no? although now with the slightly updated slim version and slightly more updated - and higher priced. - Scorpion model that could potentially change...)
And yeah I know they're probably just spinning it on how DX12 (Vulkan what?) is the future and that sort of thing heh.
EDIT: Or I might have misunderstood and this is the expected time period until AMD catches up to Intel...
(Which whenever it happens will be nice to see some actual competition again and perhaps more aggressive pricing if AMD can catch up at least slightly.)
