CD Projekt RED, the developer behind Cyberpunk 2077, has disclosed a forthcoming update which will escalate the minimum system requirements for the PC variant of the game. 

This change will coincide with the launch of the Phantom Liberty expansion. The goal of this update is to ensure that players have sufficiently modern hardware for an adequate gaming experience. The roll-out, planned for the next 90 days, will impact both the customers who procure the downloadable content and those who don't.

The elevation in the system prerequisites forms part of CD Projekt RED's consistent approach towards game enhancement and feature augmentation. A crucial alteration is the mandatory requirement for a Solid State Drive (SSD). The intent behind updating these necessities is to give a more precise depiction of the hardware required to execute the open-world role-playing game at a baseline resolution of 1080p, maintaining a steady frame rate of approximately 30 FPS.
