Computex 2011 - Patriot

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 06/04/2011 03:22 AM | source: | 0 comment(s)

Its always good to meet up with the folks at Patriot. New on display they had a low profile G2 series memory for the AMD platforms available in 1333 Mhz up-to 1600 in 4GB and 8GB kits. On the somewhat more extreme side you'll see 'Devision 4' memory, which i feel is the coolest looking memory ever. The kits will be up-to 16GB at 4GB per dimm with a maximum clock frequency of 2133 MHz, unfortunately these was no info available on CAS latency just yet.

The Patriot Wildfire SATA 6G / SandForce 2200 256GB SSD was on display as well. With 500 MB/second read and writes this drive should not suck alright. There will also be a 128 and 64 GB version available.

One of the cooler things (and I realized by saying I now can truly be called a geek) is the 128GB size USB 3.0 flashdrive called the SuperSonic Magnum. Available in 128, 64 and 32 GB sized thus flash drive is based on 8-channel technology, and that means read speeds up-to 200 MB/sec and write perf can reach 120MB/sec. Go check out all the cute stuff in the photo gallery.
