The Intel Core i9-12900K processor was paired with an ASUS ROG Strix Z690-E Gaming WiFi motherboard for use on the PugetBenchmark website.

The hybrid core design with eight high-performance cores, eight high-efficiency cores, and 24 threads is part of Intel's upcoming 12th Generation Core Series processors. The Core i9-12900K is the CPU at the top of the line in Intel's planned 12th Generation Core Series processors. The Core i9-11900K was paired with 64 GB of DDR5 4800 MHz RAM and an RTX 3090 graphics card. In the GPU-focused Adobe After Effects bench it achieved identical results. This could be the beginning of a new series of leaks to come. You might still be able to find them on the Internet Archive even though the score pages have been removed from the PugetBench website.

Intel is again expected to launch the 12th generation Core Series later this year, as it has been delayed previously, including the Intel Core i9-12900K processor and the rest of the entire 12th generation family. They will ship with support for DDR5 and PCIe 5.0 on the new LGA1700 socket and Z690 chipset.
