The Claymore II gaming keyboard features a detachable numeric keypad, and the Gladius III series gaming mice deliver 100-26,000 dpi with a class-leading 1% variance.

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced the availability of the ROG Claymore II gaming keyboard and ROG Gladius III gaming mice. Unveiled at CES® 2021, these innovative peripherals are designed for superior gaming control and tactical advantages in online and esports gaming. Both products won Reddot Awards in the “Computer and Information Technology” category in 2021.

The ROG Claymore II gaming keyboard offers gamers unique new possibilities and enables them to create their ideal gaming setup by attaching the removable numeric keypad to either side of the tenkeyless (TKL) keyboard. The Claymore II can be used in wired or wireless mode and has customizable Aura Sync lighting that can be synchronized with other Aura-compatible components and peripherals.

ROG Gladius III and ROG Gladius III Wireless are ergonomic gaming mice that are equipped with an optical sensor with 19,000 dpi (adjustable up to 26,000 dpi) for fast and precise input with almost no latency. Each model features the unique Push Fit Switch Socket II design, compatible with both Omron mechanical and optical microswitches, allowing instant button actuation with no unwanted clicks. In addition, the flexible ROG paracord and the rounded edges of the 100% TPFE mouse feet ensure particularly good gliding properties. The classic asymmetrical design of these two gaming mice is ideal for a variety of right-handed grip styles. They also have structured,

ROG Claymore II: The Elite Gaming Keyboard
The ROG Claymore II can be used as a stand-alone 80% TKL keyboard or as a 100% full-size keyboard with the numeric keypad on the right or left side, depending on individual preference. Compared to the previous model, the Claymore II has a new slot-in design to enable the removable number pad to be connected to the keyboard even more securely and more robustly. Plus, it has conveniences like customizable buttons, a volume control wheel, and a detachable palm rest for easier typing.

The ROG Claymore II is equipped with the optomechanical switches RX Red. These premium switches were first used in the ROG Strix Scope RX gaming keyboard and have a hollow, square shaft design with embedded RGB LEDs for all-round lighting per key. Accordingly, the ROG Claymore II is compatible with the wireless AURA Sync technology. The design also ensures near zero debounce latency to ensure instant activation as soon as the button is pressed. The hollow, square shaft and the X-stabilizer mechanism ensure a smooth keystroke without the usual "key wobble" and a remarkable durability with a lifespan of up to 100 million keystrokes.

The ROG Claymore II offers a response time of just 1 ms in both wired and wireless 2.4 GHz RF modes, using a USB-C® cable and a USB-C to USB Type-A Adapters are included. The large USB-C bandwidth allows users to quickly charge the keyboard or connect another USB-A device via the pass-through port on the back of the keyboard.

ROG Gladius III Wireless and ROG Gladius III
The ROG Gladius III Wireless offers tri-mode connectivity via ultra-fast 2.4 GHz RF connection, energy-efficient Bluetooth LE or wired USB. It gives users the flexibility to choose the mode that best suits the situation. Bluetooth fast pairing technology enables users to switch between three devices with one press of the pair button.

The high-end optical sensor of the ROG Gladius III series offers unrivaled accuracy and precision with a range of 100 - 26,000 dpi with an industry-leading deviation of 1%, giving mice an error-free scan at up to 400 inches per second (ips ) at 50 g acceleration. The optical sensor also offers a polling rate of 1000 Hz in both wireless and wired 2.4 GHz mode for delay-free reactions. Players can also save up to five profile settings on the onboard memory.

Mechanical switches use debouncing for button actuation, which usually leads to click latency. The Gladius III has a unique, inclined button design with no space between the mouse button and the switch to ensure instant actuation. In addition, coordinated firmware filters out unintentional mouse clicks for both mechanical and optical microswitches in order to give gamers an advantage in competitive games.

The Push Fit Switch Socket II design allows traditional 3-pin mechanical switches to be interchanged with the latest 5-pin optical microswitches from Omron®. Since the switches differ in their feel and properties, the innovative base design gives the user the flexibility to choose the switch that best suits their individual playing style. The reinforced base also reduces wobbling and ensures even key clicks.

The ROG Gladius III has RGB-illuminated, laser-engraved ROG markings on the side and is equipped with the ROG Paracord and 100% PTFE rounded mouse feet to ensure fast and smooth gliding.

Price and availability
The recommended retail price for ROG Claymore II is 279.90 euros. The ROG Gladius III Wireless costs 109.90 euros and the wired version has an RRP of 89.90 euros.
