ASUS Launches ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM at $999
ASUS has recently launched the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM, which was earlier unveiled at CES 2023. The gaming monitor boasts a 26.5-inch OLED panel, providing a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels in a 16:9 aspect ratio.
According to ASUS, the display has a peak brightness of 1,000 nits when viewing HDR content, and 450 nits with SDR content. Interestingly, the monitor has a higher typical brightness of 450 cd/m² as compared to the LG Ultragear OLED 27GR95QE-B, which has a mere 200 cd/m² brightness. The ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM has a response time of 0.03 ms (GtG), a 240 Hz refresh rate, and 99% DCI-P3 colour space coverage with Delta E <2 colour deviations. To increase the longevity of the OLED panel, ASUS has equipped the monitor with a custom heatsink and a wide vent for heat dissipation. The display also features an anti-glare micro-texture coating to reduce glare in bright rooms and a custom voltage optimisation algorithm to ensure uniform brightness throughout the panel.
In addition to the aforementioned features, the gaming monitor is compatible with AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC. It also comes with DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0, and USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, as well as 100 x 100 mm VESA mounts and a height-adjustable stand. For more details, interested buyers can check out ASUS' website. Currently, the monitor is available for pre-order in the UK for £1,098.95, including VAT. The US pricing is set at US$999, with Newegg listing the product already, but not yet available for purchase. Overclockers UK expects stock to arrive in April. This makes the ASUS product a better choice, especially in the US, where it is priced at US$999, similar to the LG equivalent. However, the pricing differs in the UK, Germany, and Sweden, where the PG27AQDM costs £1,098.95, €1,299.99, and 14,990 kr, respectively. This puts all three countries above US$1,100, excluding local VAT, making the LG Ultragear OLED a more affordable option in Europe. The monitor is expected to hit retail shelves in mid or end of April.

Could this be the one? It checks a lot of the boxes except for that subpixel layout. Curious to see how it feels when using daily.
