ASUS GeForce GTX 1080 Turbo

ASUS GeForce GTX 1080 Turbo

in the category more affordable ASUS is adding the GeForce GTX 1080 Turbo SKU to its line-up. The card should get a better price at an expected 599 USD. The card is positioned below the founders edition yet comes with 1607 MHz core, 1733 MHz GPU Boost clocks.

The 8GB GDDR5X is clocked reference at 10 GHz (effective data-rate) and it has just on 8-pin power connector. To get it a little bling ASUS added a RGB LED lit "ASUS" logo at the top. It also has an 4-pin PWM case-fan header that you can use to connect an extra fan too, PWM controlled by the GPU, much like the Strix (but that one has two connectors). The monitor outputs are similar to the GTX 1080 STRIX, with two each of DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0b ports.

If value is what you are after in the 1080 series, this might be it.

It just means they used expensive solid caps from Japan instead of those none solid American ones....
