ASRock Outs 600-series Motherboard BIOS Updates for Next Generation Intel Processors

ASRock Outs 600-series Motherboard BIOS Updates for Next Generation Intel Processors

ASRock has published upgrades for almost 50 of their motherboards based on the 600-series chipset. Support for the 13th generation Core CPUs, codenamed Raptor Lake, will be included in future updates.

ASRock has published UEFI/BIOS updates for their motherboards based on 600-series chipsets. These updates include compatibility for Intel's next-generation processors. The new CPUs are, of course, Intel's 13th generation Core CPUs, dubbed Raptor Lake. ASRock has been completely dedicated to EZ update/setting. As the first generation of LGA1700 socket motherboards, most of ASRock Intel® 600 series motherboards are equipped with BIOS flashback button that allow users to update BIOS with USB Flash Drive easily. Furthermore, ASRock add Auto Driver Installer(ADI) to the newest BIOS of all Intel® 600 series motherboards. ADI ensures the ability of Ethernet connection and provides a convenient way to install all drivers needed without any annoying application lifted in your OS. That is to say, no need to worry about not having the CD ROM for support CD, and you could set the system just in a blink.

ASRock makes no mention of which CPUs are supported, and it doesn't appear that the business has updated its list of compatible CPUs, which is unfortunate but not surprising given that Raptor Lake CPUs aren't slated to be released until later this year.

ASRock's Auto Driver Installer (ADI), which is included in this UEFI/BIOS update for the boards, is unlikely to be popular because drivers will be downloaded and installed automatically if the system is connected to the internet. There will most likely be a method to disable this function, but it appears that it will be enabled by default, which hasn't worked well for other organizations in the past.
