It is probably the most viable gaming resolution for us gamers, Quad HD. AOC is launching two new affordable models. Both have a 27" VA based WLED panel at 1440 x 2560 pixels

The CQ27G2U and Q27G2U get refresh rates of 144 Hz with a 1 millisecond and have a FreeSync range of 48 Hz to 144 Hz. The color range of the 8-bit panels is 85% of the NTSC spectrum, 90% of the AdobeRGB spectrum and 120% of the sRGB color space.

The brightness is mediocre at 250 nits, the contrast ratio is listed at 3000:1 which makes sense as the panel is VA based.

While specs are the same, the difference between the two models is the curve. CQ27G2U will be offered as a curved panel with a curve of 1500R, the Q27G2U, on the other hand, has a flat penel. The flat version will get a price of 299 USD, this month he must appear on the market. The curved CQ27G2U has a suggested retail price of 319 USD. Both displays are pending a release/availibility in February.
