Intel's Sapphire Rapids Xeon CPUs are due out this year. These new CPUs will deliver new and improved functionality, as well as an opportunity for Intel to showcase its 10 nm SuperFin manufacturing process in the server sector.

Thanks to Twitter user YuuKi AnS, we now have some early results from AIDA64 and Cinebench R15. Yuuki got a Sapphire Rapids Xeon with 48 cores and 96 threads, 2.3 GHz base and 3.3 GHz peak. An Intel Socket E CPU, designated "QYFQ" by Q-SPEC, was evaluated (LGA-4677). The TDP of this CPU was 270 watts. The results for this processor in AIDA64 cache and memory and Cinebench R15 are shown below. The figures are comparable between AMD's Milan-X and the Xeon Platinum 8380, therefore they are more accurate.
