A Taiwanese user overclocked DDR4 memory using a Ryzen 7 4700GE processor and liquid nitrogen. The results were staggering. if you read our Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G review, you will have noticed the huge leap in frequency availability already.

Bianbao XE achieved a frequency of 6,666 MHz on a single Crucial Ballistix Max memory module that normally does 2,666 MHz. In addition, the spectacular thing is that it achieved it using a Ryzen 7 4700GE processor, with a TDP of 35W or less. During the experiment, the processor voltage was 1.5 V; This and the single 8GB memory module were cooled with liquid nitrogen. The test was conducted on the ASUS ROG Strix B550-I Gaming motherboard, which is even more surprising in the results.

Crucial Ballistix MAX series memory was able to run on DDR4-6666 at timings of 30-27-27-58-127-1 (not all ideal we know), but again, the idea was not to expedite peak performance memory. Previously, the top three DDR4 memory overclocking results were entirely based on Intel processors and now it is led by the Ryzen 7 4700GE.
