AMD told analysts on a call about its financial results for Q2 2022 that its next-generation Ryzen 7000 desktop processors based on the Zen 4 microarchitecture will be released this quarter.

CEO Dr. Lisa Su said, "Looking ahead, we're on track to launch our brand-new 5 nm Ryzen 7000 desktop processors and AM5 platforms later this quarter, with performance that leads in gaming and content creation."

The firm also said that its next-generation Radeon 7000 series GPUs based on the RDNA3 graphics architecture are on track to launch "later this year." It didn't say if this meant this quarter, which could mean they could launch any time before January 2023. AMD is also on track to beat Intel to the next generation of server processors that support DDR5 and PCIe Gen 5.
