AMD Radeon RX 6500M Seems to be much stronger than Intel Arc A370M (according to their own benchmarks)

AMD Radeon RX 6500M Seems to be much stronger than Intel Arc A370M (according to their own benchmarks)

Intel offered gaming benchmarks for the A350M and A370M Arc GPUs as part of the Arc laptop GPU introduction. On the Arc A370M, for example, 60 frames per second at 1080p is claimed. While external reviews are pending, AMD has produced a chart comparing the RX 6500M and A370M.

It seems A370M has 33% more transistors than 6500M but in five of the ten games listed, the 6500M is 58% quicker than the Intel counterpart. In Strange Brigade, the 6500M is 27% faster. In F1 2021, the Radeon chip excels by a factor of 2.14

Both Arc A370M and RX 6500M use TSMC's N6 node. TDP is 35-50 W, however real power consumption is unknown. Given the tiny sample size and data source, these conclusions should be taken with a grain of salt. As a result, AMD has likely picked titles where its GPUs excel.

In none of those games amd particularly excel when compared to nvidia so games tested are very random yet 370M gets destroyed.

It would be interesting can it even beat amd igpu 680M.

It's early days to even pronounce a verdict or formulate a theory.
The same thing all over. Each time a new tech is launched, the leaks, the rumours, the cropped Photoshopped@ benchmarks, the fanboys at each others throat.
And then the real thing is review properly and all that remains is the real world results.

Until I will read the HH's review on the real thing, I'll refrain to even have a opinion.
But yes, I like the idea that Intel stepped in the discrete GPU market.
