Reports indicate a September 2023 launch for AMD's Navi 32 desktop GPUs. The GPU's development is completed, and its drivers are already functional.

Moore's Law is Dead revealed details about the Navi 31/32 hybrid GPU, possibly containing 70 Compute Units (CUs). Preliminary specifications for the Navi 32-based models have also emerged.

An EEC listing recently uncovered the Radeon RX 7800XT model, with 16GB of 256-bit memory, although the model names are still unconfirmed. This variant is likely to utilize the GPU's full 60CU configuration and a Total Board Power (TBP) of 260W. Another potential variant, possibly named Radeon RX 7700 XT, is projected to support a 48 to 54 CU configuration and possess 12GB of memory on a 192-bit bus. Both models are expected to feature a memory speed of 19.5 Gbps.

The upcoming GPU series is set to debut at Gamescom 2023 in Germany, from August 23 – 27, 2023, with a planned release in September. Specifications for video cards utilizing the Navi 32 chip continue to be revealed. The recently listed video processor, the 7800 XT, paired with 16GB of memory, a 256-bit bus, and a TBP of 260W, incorporates 60 compute units (CUs). The Navi 32 chips are also designated for the 7700 series video cards, with 48 and 54 CU configurations. These models have 12 GB of memory on a 192-bit bus, a memory speed of 19.5 Gbps, and a TBP of 245W.

The Navi 32 chips are also set to power a new range of high-end gaming laptops and other mobile devices in the 7800 and 7900 series. Moore's Law is Dead states that the Navi 32 chip is now prepared for mass production, and drivers for the chips are available. There's also speculation about a special hybrid Navi 31/Navi 32 chip with 70 CUs, though information is limited.

A surplus inventory of Navi 21 chips caused a delay in the Navi 32 chips' release. The previous generation flagship models, the RX 6800 XT and RX 6900 XT video cards, used Navi 21 chips. The current RX 7000 video cards generation employs Navi 31 chips in the top-end models and the Navi 33 chips in the mid-range offerings.

The Navi 32 GPU is also projected to debut as a high-end mobile model (RX 7800/7900) for gaming laptops. Currently, AMD has released the RX 7700/7600 series based on the Navi 33 GPU, a mid-range performance GPU. The last flagship GPU, the RX 6800M, was introduced in May 2021, updated to the RX 6850M XT in the following year.
