A while ago AMD announced their 7nm NAVI based graphics cards, the Radeon RX 5700 and 5700 XT at 379 and 449 USD. AMD today has sent an email to certain media and their partners indicating that they are lowering the price prior to launch. Radeon RX 5700 is to cost 349 USD and 399 USD for the XT model.

The drop in price is, of course, a logical reaction, perhaps we should even call it an allergic reaction, towards NVIDIA who this week announced their SUPER model GeForce RTX 2060, 2070 and 2080. These products seem to sit smack down on top of the NAVI products and should be close to their performance, yet offering RT and tensor cores for roughly the same amount of money.

It has now been confirmed, distributors and retailers also are sending around prices. The Radeon RX 5700 is to cost 349 USD and 399 USD for the XT model. The 50th-anniversary edition (only available through the AMD website in the EU) is to cost 449 USD and also has seen a price reduction. This means the two top models have dropped 50 bucks and the regular 5700 30 USD, prior to launch.
