Yesterday the news hit the web that AMD would be moving RX 6800 / 6900 production towards the board partners as media claimed AMD had already discontinued the Radeon RX 6900 XT, RX 6800 XT, and RX 6800 reference. 

AMD Radeon General Manager Scott Herkelman answered a question asked by a user a few weeks ago questioning AMD's decision not to continue producing these models in light of Big Navi's almost non-existent stock.

Herkelman responded:“ We have just officially extended production of the reference designs indefinitely due to popular demand. Thanks for the feedback . "
