AMD has declared its alliance with Bethesda for the much-awaited Starfield sci-fi RPG. This partnership paves the way for AMD's forthcoming game bundle, catered towards its Ryzen 7000 series that comprises a selection of gaming-appropriate CPUs.

The specialty website titled "AMD Starfield Game Bundle Promotion Store" verifies that the entire Ryzen 7000 lineup, starting from the Ryzen 5 7600 to the top-tier Ryzen 9 7950X3D, qualifies for this promotion. Though the official announcement about the bundle from AMD is still pending, it's predicted that the promotional regulations will soon be disclosed. The launch of Starfield, now postponed to September 6, 2023, offers sufficient time for consumers to procure Ryzen 7000 processors preceding the game's release.

It's still unclear whether AMD will broaden the promotion to include the Radeon RX 7000-series graphics cards.

Starfield is designed to include various AMD technologies, inclusive of FidelityFX Super Resolution 2 (FSR 2), from the launch. This corresponds with AMD's strategic plans to advocate the game. Nonetheless, some gaming enthusiasts have voiced discontent over AMD's exclusivity since Starfield, an AMD-sponsored title, won't back competitor upscalers such as Nvidia's DLSS or Intel's XeSS. To counter this, a distinguished modder PureDark has committed to introduce DLSS 3 support for Starfield during its early access stage.

Starfield can be pre-ordered on Steam for $69.99, whereas the Digital Premium Edition is available at $99.99. Although the game itself might not suffice as an incentive to buy a Ryzen 7000 chip - considering even the cheapest Zen 4 SKU, the Ryzen 5 7600, is priced at $223 - it's still a beneficial addition for consumers intending to transition to the Zen 4 platform.
