To infinity and beyond? A newly spotted trademark entry shows or at least seems to indicate that Big Navi would get Infinity Cache
The new AMD cards will have a special cache connected to the memory subsystem. The internal name for this cache is not Infinity Cache, the name may have changed recently, as AMD registered a new trademark just a few days ago. As we can see on the Justia Trademarks site, AMD Infinity Cache makes its first appearance. This name hints to Infinity Fabric, AMD's proprietary interconnects architecture for CPU cores and GPUs. Hence, Infinity Cache could be a new technology coming to AMD Radeon graphics cards.
