AMD Announces  2nd Gen AMD Ryzen 3000 Series Mobile Processors

AMD announced, starting this quarter, gamers, creators, and enthusiasts will be able to install Radeon Software Adrenalin to bring the latest GPU features and game optimizations to all systems powered by AMD Ryzen Processors with Radeon Graphics.

AMD announced a series of laptop processors at CES. AMD is using a 12nm fabrication process and, in addition to the usual 15W processors, it also released a duo of processors with a tdp of 35W intended for game laptops. The new Ryzen Mobile chips are part of Ryzen 3000 in terms of naming, but are based on the existing 12nm Zen+ architecture.

AMD announced a number of exciting additions to its mobility line-up, encompassing all notebook segments:

  • 2nd Gen AMD Ryzen 3000 Series Mobile Processors powering ultrathin and gaming notebooks,
  • AMD Athlon 300 Series Mobile Processors powering mainstream notebooks with the fast and efficient “Zen” core, and
  • Optimized 7th Gen AMD A-Series processors elevating performance for the first ever AMD-powered mainstream Chromebooks

Looks like asus announced a couple new models with the r5 3550h in it. Model numbers are FX505YH and FX705YH.
