AMD AGESA COMBO PI V2 1.2.0.0 Is Coming For MSI 500 Series and 400 Series Motherboards

MSI (and all other brands) is going to release the latest AGESA COMBO PI V2 1.2.0.0 BIOS for AMD 500 series and 400 series motherboards, including MAX and non-MAX models.



It hasn't been that long since we reported about Agesa version 1.1.9.0, the latest bios firmware for AM4 motherboards. Although many boards do not even have this microcode, AMD has already made the newer Agesa ComboAM4v2PI 1.2.0.0 open to its partners. AMD does not have release notes on this AGESA, however, Patrick Schur claims on Twitter that it mainly concerns bug fixes and cleaning up the current code. 1USMUS, Yuri Bubliy mentions there are some exciting adjustments. System management unit (SMU) would have been upgraded. Version 56.44.00 should improve the Curve Optimizer. Optimizations have also been made in the field of power supply. In addition, the new firmware should increase the stability of the Infinity Fabric and he states that a 1900 Mhz flck clock would no longer cause WHEA errors.
