Post-launch Application Crashes and Driver Timeouts Rectified by AMD in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.

Following the launch of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, AMD addressed several issues related to driver timeouts and application crashes. These issues were resolved via a dedicated hotfix Adrenalin update, designated as Adrenalin Edition 23.10.23.03, one week after the game's launch. Initially, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart had issues related to inadequate driver support from AMD on PC. Numerous users with RX 7900 XTX and certain other Radeon GPUs documented cases of driver timeout failures and game crashes. These problems were most evident when AMD's dynamic resolution scaling was enabled or when the game's ray tracing effects were activated. However, disabling these options made the game playable, albeit without the visual enhancements.

With the recent update, Radeon users can now activate the game's ray tracing effects without causing stability problems. This development presents a noticeable advancement, providing users the opportunity to leverage the full graphical potential of the game.

In parallel, the development team behind Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart released a separate update aimed at addressing additional graphical concerns. This update focused on low-resolution texture streaming, water reflection difficulties, and additional optimizations.

This hotfix update, Adrenalin Edition 23.10.23.03, was a game-specific solution, excluding any other updates or bug fixes from version 23.7.2. As a result, users not involved with Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart should expect this driver to operate similarly to the previous 23.7.2 version.
